What's it like to run a pub?

'Try before you Buy' is a simple way for you to decide if the licensed trade is for you. Many dream of running their own pub but have never had the opportunity to find out what it is like.

We have a number of experienced tenants throughout the estate who will show you over a couple of days exactly what they do and exactly what is involved in running a pub - warts and all.

Not every one is suited to the trade and we would like you to find out if you are before making the commitment involved. Over a weekend or a couple of week days you will be able to shadow the licensee and his staff and get a feel on working behind a bar, cellar work, paperwork, deliveries.

We cannot cover everything but we should at least be able to give a sufficient insight to allow you decide whether you want your own pub and the next stage to achieve your ambition.
