The Wadworth Brewery Company

Founded in 1875, Wadworth & Co Ltd of Devizes, boasts an enviable tradition in the brewing of fine beers. The Northgate Brewery, with it's impressive Victorian facade, was designed and built by Henry Wadworth in 1885, and is still run as a family business by successors of his business partner's.

We have a widespread and well founded reputation for brewing exceptional beers and of 6X has national recognition throughout the country.

Charles Bartholomew, our current Chairman and Managing Director, is fourth generation and carries forward the strong family values that are associated with the long history of the company: combining tradition with modern and contemporary thinking to ensure the continued future of the company.

In Tenanted Trade, to support our licensees, we have a team of experienced Tenanted Trade Managers led by the Tenanted Trade Director all of whom have a minimum of 10 years practical and hands-on experience in running pubs.

Each Tenanted Trade Manager will support an average of 55 tenants calling on a regular basis giving help, guidance and ideas to promote and improve the business.

At the brewery we have a back-up team to deal with everyday enquiries and again the office staff have been with us for a number of years and can offer quick advice.

The Customer Service Helpdesk is a dedicated facility to deal with a range of matters including property support. The helpdesk is the first port of call to log the problem. Our Maintenance Surveyor will arrange either a personal visit or a contractor to call to deal with the problem.

At Wadworth we operate an Open Door policy and the Senior Management play an active role in supporting and building the relationship with our licensees.
